This interview shares something important with my generation during the pandemic. College students were sent home during the middle of a semester, and didn’t receive any information of when/if they would return back. I knew my roommate took up the hobby of hiking during lockdown, since it was an outdoor activity, it was one of the only things people could do. I thought it would be really interesting to hear how this hobby helped her mental health, if she just did it during the lockdown, or if she really enjoyed it and continued. I think it is important to share the things college students did to keep a routine, or just keep their minds busy, because a lot of times kids go to college to experience new things, and (like it or not) get away from home. It was a strange experience for us to have.
