We are interviewing Gabriel Aguilar. How has COVID-19 affected your faith or beliefs?

"Gabriel Agular" 0:13
Well, it stops me from being able to go to church and pray to my God.

Speaker 1 0:21
Has it made you lose faith in your God and your beliefs?

"Gabriel Agular" 0:25
No, it's strengthened my belief.

Speaker 1 0:30
Is your religious community still gathering at this time?

"Gabriel Agular" 0:34
We gather, the priest does like a zoom meeting for us so we can still get together spiritually and pray to our God.

Speaker 1 0:48
How has COVID affected your participation in your religious community?

"Gabriel Agular" 0:55
Well, well, since we're not doing community service and feeding the homeless in our community and, you know, our church does special events like beach cleanup. So, we haven't been able to do that. So, you know, but it's not, it's not bad, you know, God willing, everything will be okay.

Speaker 1 1:22
Is your religious community supplying or engaging any kind of community service in attempt to help alleviate issues caused by the pandemic? Probably not, because everybody's on lockdown, huh?

"Gabriel Agular" 1:35
Well, we have some members, you know, you know, they got gloves and masks on, they go out, and they hand out food and, you know, socks to the homeless out on the street, which is nice. But for me, personally, I have not during this time.

Speaker 1 2:01
Cool. I really appreciate you taking a couple minutes to talk to me about this and, just, I know we've talked about COVID and faith and whatnot before just thank you for allowing me to interview you for this real quick. Thank you.
